Sona, our Financial Controller and Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales provides number-crunching support for a variety of businesses.

She gets a buzz from getting her figures spot on. Her ideal day is choc-a-block with completed tasks, challenges met, areas for improvement found and bottom lines increased. Working closely with Nick Lawson she ensures VAT returns and board meeting reports are executed on time.

You could describe Sona as a ‘veggie Nigella’ who prepares a mean aubergine curry and bakes a blinding banana and walnut loaf. She’s a seasoned traveller who adores a city break In New York or Venice, but truly loves London, especially the Globe Theatre end of the South Bank.

She volunteers weekends at a local hospice serving tea and biscuits to patients, which: “can be a bit overwhelming and requires considerable diplomacy but rewarding too as you’re a friendly face making a difference at a difficult time”
