Team 10Eighty took part in the 27th J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge yesterday at Battersea Park – a 5.6km run around the south-of-the-Thames park.
A capacity crowd of 13,316 entrants from 301 companies took part, with special guest runner Katherine Grainger, gold medal winning rower for Team GB at the London 2012 Olympics.
10Eighty were joined by runners from businesses that included JP Morgan (naturally), BNP Paribas, Legal & General, Millenium Capital Partners, HSBC, UBS and Citi.
Director Dave Harrison finished the 5600m run in an impressive 23 minutes 46 seconds while Nick Lawson, Finance Director and Director Liz Sebag-Montefiore ran together, completing the course in a more leisurely 35 minutes 50 seconds! (Dave, Nick and Liz are pictured below).
Dave said: “10Eighty were delighted to take part in the Corporate Challenge for the first time. We couldn’t have asked for better weather or a more impressive location, and were keen to take the challenge as this event chimes strongly with our company ethos of supporting charity, engendering team spirit and making a difference.”
In honour of all the Corporate Challenge participants, J.P. Morgan will make a donation to WaterAid, part of more than $700,000 donated in Corporate Challenge cities throughout 2013.
Well done guys! You hardly look even slightly pink in the face!
