On top of the world for our 4th Birthday Party

Can you believe it? 10Eighty is 4 years old already. Time passes so fast… and for our 4th Birthday Party we thought a change of scenery was in order. We left the serene surroundings of Inn The Park, St James Park behind for the dizzier heights of Skyloft, Millbank, SW1.

About 100 guests joined the festivities on the 28th Floor which offers impressive vistas across the Thames including the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, the Shard and many other iconic London landmarks which are thoughtfully outlined on the venue’s window.

Panoramic canapés

The panoramas were a perfect accompaniment to the refreshments as busy Skyloft staff served up about 800 canapés throughout the evening:

  • Marinated chicken satay skewer with coriander and lime
  • Pan fried sea bass with salsa verde served on a spoon
  • Smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel with lemon and cracked black pepper
  • Summer pea, mint and feta crostini

All washed down by beers, a selection of wines and non-alcoholic beverages.

‘Happy Birthday Dear 10Eighty…’

Midway through the proceedings our CEO Michael Moran’s did one of his famous Birthday Speeches. According to Michael now 10Eighty Are 4 we are “finding our feet, have an air of confidence, but need to be watched over all the time.” (associates and partners please note). Watch the speech in full in the video below:

His slightly-longer-than-usual speech (understandable taking recent events into account) ended with a traditional group rendition of “Happy Birthday 10Eighty”, then Michael blew out the candles (cue Two Ronnies sketch) and the festive cake was subsequently sliced up for our 100 guests.

As has become a 10Eighty tradition, at the end of the evening we handed out 100 party bags full of festive surprises including champagne bubbles, Mars bars (mini-sized, natch) and various retro sweets.

Thanks for coming!

Thanks to everyone who attended from everyone at 10Eighty – we look forward to seeing you again at our 5th Birthday Party next summer.
